Snow Village? Route 56?

The now defunct Dickens' Exchange newsletter used to have a "Finds of the Month" column where collectors would write in and tell about the bargains they had found while at a garage sale, flea market, or Antique shop. I always enjoyed reading about fellow collectors and their great finds hoping that one day I'd come across my own great find and be featured as the find of the month!

Do you have a great find? Please share the greatest bargains you have found while at a garage sale, flea market, Antique shop, or online auction by completing the form below. If you can tell us its current value and what you paid for it.

What a find!

paula  Baton Rouge, LA  i'm a garage sale girl. And enjoy collecting houses for my Christmas Village. I have always bought cheaper houses because i could only dream about the nicer ones. I found a box at one yard sale with assorted houses, trees, & Christmas decorations for $5.00. When i got home and sorted through the box, my jaw dropped. In the box was Mountain Lodge, Gabled Cottage, The Inn, Steepled Church (1976) and Nantucket (1978). I have no idea what their worth but i'm no for sure its more than$5.00.

Diane  Al.  After a long search for somewhere local. I finally found a very nice lady that has a shop behind her home about 45 minutes from where I live. While there I purchased Visiting Santa at Finestroms, Village Public Library, A Ride on the Reindeer Lines and the Reindeer Bus Depot all for $100.00 and she also gave me the yellow taxi and the little red car with the tree on top. I was so excited to find such a bargin. I will be going back again without a doubt.
