Barb MN. Hi, Well it was a great weekend find Teri tells me, we where at a flea market on Sunday & I found a 1987 Smythe wollen mill for $7.00, Teri tells me the Green book lists it for $1,025, so keep looking the great finds are out there. Thanks Teri

Nicole Chicago, IL I found an original Snow Village House (not sure which one) at a thrift store for $1.00. The house is from 1986!

Victoria Illinois I found the Slone Hotel, original price $90, for $10.00 at a local store because it was missing the sleeve that slides over the styrofoam box!! Yeah!

Judy H. NH Hubby found an out of the box EbenezerScrooge's House (2001) at a Christmas Dove tent sale, during Columbus Day weekend. He didn't think I would mind that it didn't have a box since he only paid $15 for it. Greenbook OSRP $85
paula Baton Rouge, LA i'm a garage sale girl. And enjoy collecting houses for my Christmas Village. I have always bought cheaper houses because i could only dream about the nicer ones. I found a box at one yard sale with assorted houses, trees, & Christmas decorations for $5.00. When i got home and sorted through the box, my jaw dropped. In the box was Mountain Lodge, Gabled Cottage, The Inn, Steepled Church (1976) and Nantucket (1978). I have no idea what their worth but i'm no for sure its more than$5.00.

Lou Toronto I visited a flower shop to buy flowers for my wife and found a brand new Royal Observatory (Gold top edition)for $75.00 Canadian. It sells for between $175 and $200 US on ebay. I don't know what the greenbook value is.
Jackie Northport, AL I was in an antique store yesterday and found a gold chair candle holder with a Department 56 label on the back, for $2.50. I can't find a picture of it on any Department 56 website, though.
Arlene Phoenix Found a CIC Chocolate Shoppe mib at a garage sale for $15, and THREE Gold Dome Observatories at dealers while on vacation cross-country for $75 each. The other collector's Smythe Woolen Mill find has me inspired--it could happen!

Diane Al. After a long search for somewhere local. I finally found a very nice lady that has a shop behind her home about 45 minutes from where I live. While there I purchased Visiting Santa at Finestroms, Village Public Library, A Ride on the Reindeer Lines and the Reindeer Bus Depot all for $100.00 and she also gave me the yellow taxi and the little red car with the tree on top. I was so excited to find such a bargin. I will be going back again without a doubt.

Diane Moline, IL Found June 2009 at my church's rummage sale: Unused, boxed Heritage Village "Town Clock" for $2. Monks-a-Caroling for $.50. New England Village "Log Cabin" for $5. Boxed "All Arond the Park" Village animated accessory set for $25. Previous finds: Dickens Village "My Glen Church" and "Knottinghill Church" in a box of misc. for $8 at an estate auction in 2006.
Lori Lincoln Nebraska I went to an auction that was not advertised well, very few people there. They waited until the end of the day to auction the Harley village pieces-I got the repair shop, another large building, water tower, three small motorcycle pieces for $35 total-I guess it paid to wait all day for it!
